Perth and Western Australia

Perth is Australia's fourth largest city. It has a population of around 1.5 million and it is the capital of Western Australia.

A high standard of living, excellent climate, and educational and    sporting facilities have all played a part in attracting people to Perth.  The pace is pleasantly down-beat, traffic jams are minimal, and the people are relaxed and cheerful. At the same time, Perth is modern and progressive. It offers all that a large city can offer - at a cost significantly lower than most other Australian cities. Perth offers tremendous business opportunities and it boasts a strong Jewish business network.

The climate in Perth is typically Mediterranean - with wet, rather mild winters and warm, dry summers. Barbecues, fishing, surfing and sailing are all a part of the Perth way of life, a lifestyle which is enhanced by the beauty of Perth. With the clear blue Swan River winding its way through Perth's suburbs, a fabulous coastline, early colonial architecture and magnificent parklands. It is no wonder that Perth has gained a reputation as Australia's most beautiful city.

The standard of education in Perth is very high, with several internationally renowned universities and advanced learning centres.

Perth's sporting facilities are also top rate - as are its restaurants, theatres and night life. With a diverse multicultural population Perth's cultural life is always exciting, with a variety of arts, festivals and community events being staged throughout the year.
