Two weeks ago we went to Sydney for the ANSTO Big Ideas Forum. This forum revolves around sharing the big ideas of Australian youth and putting these students in contact with scientists who are researching in similar fields. Our idea revolved around trapping methane gas from cows and hopefully turning this gas into renewable energy. The forum was based at ANSTO, which is the only nuclear research plant in Australia and while learning about our idea we also learnt about nuclear technology and saw some hands on research at the facility. This experience was truly incredible as we were able to see research being put into place and meet likeminded students in addition to engaging in really fun social activities. We are very thankful for ANSTO for selecting us and Mr Edmunds for accompanying us. Thank you!
