Last Friday the Year 5 students came up to the High School Science Labs for the annual Peer Tutoring task. The Year 9 students spent a week preparing a lesson that will compliment and extend on the Year 5 Science Curriculum.

The task outline is to produce an exciting, entertaining, interesting 10-minute lesson to teach the Year 5 students a concept related to what both year groups have covered in Science this year.

The Year 9 students worked very hard and made us very proud. Their presentations included eye dissections, laser mirror shows, radioactivity and the laws of refraction of light. It was wonderful to hear laughter and to see the Year 5’s intrigued at the mini lessons they were so excited to see.

Well done by all and thank you to the Year 5 classes for visiting!
