Each year the Science Teacher’s Association of Western Australia names one Secondary student across the state as the Young Scientist of the Year. These students are selected across all of the Science Talent Search entries in all categories from Year 7 to Year 12. This year there were hundreds of entries submitted.

Mazel Tov to Jesse Gabriel for being named the 2017 STAWA Young Scientist of the Year.

Jesse’s entry in the Engineering category of the competition was beyond exceptional. His enthusiasm for the aviation industry and his interest in solving a real world problem by creating such an innovative and unique design was inspiring.
