The year 11 students have been learning that in a collision, if the change in momentum occurs over a longer time, then the forces involved are less. This is how air bags and crumple zones in cars work. They put this to the test by trying to get their eggs to survive as big a drop as possible by putting in devices to increase the time in which they come to a stop. All but one group survived the smaller heights, to then throw their landing vehicles off the Kadima balcony. The winners were Olivia Walters, Jason Fasser and Dean KEZURER.
