As the Year 11 and 12 students gathered near the War Memorial overlooking the city’s skyline, excitement and joy spread over Kings Park. A sea of glamorous dresses and handsome suits filled the grounds.

For the Year 12’s, this is their last year at Carmel School, an accomplishment that was celebrated in style. For the Year 11’s, the first chapter in their senior school journey at Carmel. What a way to celebrate, as the Dinner Dance brought them all together to declare the joy of each individual’s school journey.

Mrs Messina and Mrs Edmunds put their heart and soul into making this evening the very best it could be. Without them, we would not have been able to celebrate in pure glamour. What was once an empty room was transformed into an enchanted forest decorated with vines and fairy lights glistening above and tables.

Students entered the room, which presented a formal and elegant scene filled with music and tantalising food, and let’s not forget the photo booth, which captured many magical moments and wonderful memories to keep.

As the music filled the room, the students flooded the dance floor, excitement lit up the room and there they stayed all night. The evening concluded with such joy and happiness. As heels were kicked off and dresses and suits hung back up it felt like a dream, for one night the stars had aligned and so had the Year 11 and 12 students. It was a night to remember.
