Mrs. Clare Braud from the AWCH - The Association for the Welfare of Children in Hospital, visited Prep on Monday to facilitate an incursion. The children were introduced to the different things that they can expect to experience if they need to go to hospital. The children watched a movie about a boy going to hospital and then got to engage in classroom experiences. They used a wheelchair and crutches, operated on Katie the doll and completed some hospital themed puzzles and games. Some of the things this incursion taught the Preps is that when they go to hospital they are allowed to bring two favourite toys, have their mum or dad stay with them and that they will also get dessert after their meals!
